Why is Wisconsin and/or your specific community a good place to do your work?

Working at MIAD, Wisconsin’s only private, nonprofit college of art and design is everyday a celebration of creative education. Inspirations abounds, and our students become graduates whose work profoundly impacts the world around them.

What energizes you as you consider the future of the arts in Wisconsin?

As we look to the future of the arts in Wisconsin, I am thrilled to see considerations in the state budget to more distinctly and significantly fund the arts and education. Creative individuals, especially those with access to proper tools, education and resources, provide a life force of business and cultural professionals in Wisconsin’s economy. The close-knit Wisconsin arts community continued to benefit from expanded networking and organizational opportunities.
