What is your relationship to the Wisconsin Arts Board?

I was one of the original 12 people appointed to the board by Governor Lucey in 1973.  Between 1973 and 2003 I served a total of 7 3-year terms on the board under 6 different governors.  From that unique position, I helped lead the Wisconsin Arts Board through multiple executive directors, programs, partnerships and projects.  There are too many highlights to include here, but one of them is taking the rest of the WAB board members on a tour through Wisconsin’s northern region, including Madeline Island, on one of their quarterly board meetings in 2001.

Where can people find your work?

I am represented by Tory Folliard Gallery in Milwaukee and my work can also be found on my website:  https://maryalicewimmer.com/.
