Christina Peterson
Visual Artist
Christina Peterson, an expert in both digital and traditional mediums, creates breathtaking, nostalgic, and gently macabre pieces of artwork. Her designs are truly inspired. She also creates smaller, more portable art, such as prints, stickers, magnets, pins, tote bags, and more.
Christina has been making art since as far back as she can remember, and would use just about anything she could get her hands on to do it. She likes to say there isn’t a medium in the world she wouldn’t use, and that definitely reflects in her work. Her most common mediums include digital painting, watercolor, acrylic, gouache, and collage. She also tends to mix mediums to create a polished, yet hand-drawn feel to her work.
She received her Associates Degree in Graphic Design and Illustration from Madison Area Technical College in 2022, and she won a Silver Addy Award for a magazine spread in 2023. Since then, she’s been spending her time trying to grow her small art business and search for a job in her field.

What energizes you as you consider the future of the arts in Wisconsin?
The thing that energizes me the most is the wonderful community. Not only is fellow artist’s work a huge inspiration and motivation to me, but everyone is so nice and welcoming. In every interaction I’ve had at shows (whether I’m in it myself or visiting others) or other local art events, everyone is so quick to give tips/advice, share stories, recommend opportunities, and connect/network. I think that’s a really important thing, especially for someone relatively new to the space like me. I’m certain that the future of the arts in Wisconsin is extremely bright.
Where can we find your work?
